The 6th consistently votes solid red in every other election, presidential and congressional, going back at least 40 years. Romney and McCain beat Obama by 20-25 pt. margins.

Newt Gingrich is from the 6th. They voted the Sean Hannity of the Republican party 10 years in a row by wide margins. Nevermind 82 ethical charges and the first Speaker to be reprimanded.

That it's highly educated a probably accounts for Trump's low margin, but he STILL won.

Of course you live there and would recognize shifts I'm unaware of. I'm just pointing out voting patterns.
