(58,785 posts)56. More like lack of attention. We used to have a KKK march
in our local downtown, but virtually no one came and they got to march around empty streets--permitted for a weekend day when most businesses were closed also. This is the deep south, and it was our very conservative neighbors and acquaintances who explained the local custom of denying them oxygen. And now they go try to bother people elsewhere.

WaPo says marchers, but the permit discussed in media is for a rally in the Park.
