It has some demographic splits inside countries too; the US shows a distinctly higher divide over ISIS, refugees and climate change than other western countries (seeing refugees as a threat is a right wing thing everywhere, but some places like France and Italy have pretty small differences between left and right on how they see ISIS and climate change). Older people feel more threatened by ISIS; those with less education feel refugees are a threat.
