The crickets in the room to his pauses where he expected applause, were priceless.

And then, when there was applause, it was, to be generous, less than tepid.

At least they thought, at times, he was funny.

Mores the shame.

The speech made it more evident to the world, what a sad, pathetic, bag of rotten meat and putrid water he really is.
