I found it terribly confusing

Suggestions:

1) Researcher say carbon found in 3.95bn-year-old rocks is remnant of ancient life
2) Carbon found in 3.95bn-year-old rocks is remnant of ancient life: Researchers

If you dont do that - it leads to subject/object confusion.
