2. I suspect that Kerry understands Trump far better than you think

You might be interested to hear some comments of his in Boston last week - listen to the second half of this speech where he speaks of the Paris Agreement, Iran (the day before Trump did what he did) and then immigration and American values. He was speaking to Bostonians and his comments are very very strong ... worth waiting through the 10 minutes or so of thanking MA people honoring him.

I would suggest that Kerry's comments on Iran, in briefings and elsewhere have as their main audience the US Congress. Obviously, he knows that it is also important to get the truth out to people ... and I hope that his comment at the end of going to the talk shows will lead to appearances. He, Ernie Moniz and Wendy Sherman are all very very good stating what the goals were and what it is doing.
