Dennis Banks (April 12, 1937 – October 29, 2017)[1][2], a Native American leader, teacher, lecturer, activist and author, was an Anishinaabe born on Leech Lake Indian Reservation in northern Minnesota.

I know they have the label of Chippewa for some of the Anishinaabe nations, but I believe Chippewa is a bastardization of Ojibwe.
