In reply to the discussion: Family Of Keaton Jones Faces Backlash After Mother's Views Of Black Protestors Comes To Light [View all]BadGimp
(4,107 posts)15. I am finding this spectacle rather ridiculous
I do not think the mother should be called out for past perceived social transgressions.
I do not think her posting the video is in any way related to her views on race etc.
I don't believe her views on race, or the stances she has taken publically in the past disqualify her from having an opinion on the subject of bullying, nor do they diminish her Son's message.
I do believe that the proper focus should be on her Son and what he has been experiencing and wants to try to help change in society as a whole.
That said, I get it, I just don't like the way it seems to be playing out.

OP
You don't need to take HER word about the bullying. Her SON is the one it happened to.

I just want to know why she felt the need to start a "Go Fund Me" page over it.

Past social transgressions are generally what people get in trouble for.

If she thinks it's OK to use a switch to discipline children, then she's advocating child abuse.
