In the real world, the administration that built Apollo was the Johnson Administration. The Carter Administration built the Space Shuttle. The Clinton Administration built the International Space Station. The Obama Administration accelerated the privatization of low-earth launching. Whatever good or ill came from all of those things, that's what we got because Democrats actually support manned spaceflight while Republicans support soaking NASA for cash handouts.
