Fundraising is the province of the administration. "Major" donors like the one mentioned in the OP are feted by the higher ups, (and usually NOT by the assistant football coaches).

This indicates that there's a wider degree of culpability here and certainly grounds for ALL of Penn State to come under the most severe penalties/scrutiny, not just from the NCAA, but from major university monitoring agencies as well.

This would be like the Vatican travel office being made to suffer for moving the priests around, but nobody else within the Roman Catholic Church getting any scrutiny at all. After all, only those who moved the pedophile priests around are the "cancers" right? Even though knowledge of the abuse was known at the highest levels and nobody did anything... nope, only the ones who worked in the travel office are in big trouble.

The 'cancer" at Penn State has metastasized and targeted radiation won't cure what ails it. Your lack of concern about the victims is noted.
