(58,785 posts)After all, there was a tremendous wave of women's rights passion first, then when they went with that they were hit by a second huge wave from Franken's direction. Could this just be a verbal damage repair statement, sincere as far as it goes, because they should have supported an investigation, but not actually meant to bring him back?
I do, btw. Schumer and other leaders who had scheduled a proper investigation when these waves hit are not among those making this unlikely call.
Btw, if the Republicans end the individual mandate, the 70% of Americans who get their insurance through work will lose automatic coverage for preexisting conditions, lifetime unlimited coverage for existing conditions, and annual caps on how much they have to pay. In other words, back to the days of medical destitution and premature death.
