Franken urged to reverse his resignation

100. Wrong about the image. That is exactly the kind of

shenanigans that happens during that USO show. It’s what that show is made for, and Tweeden engaged in it herself. If the issue REALLY is how women are treated, then Tweeden and Gillibrand would be united together to fight that show and bring it to an end. But they aren’t doing that. They won’t do that because that would be a losing and unpopular position.

That picture is just a gotcha on Franken so that others can jump on the bandwagon and spread doubt about him. It was not a picture taken surreptitiously to demean women. By allowing the “both sides do it” talk, it fails to address the absurd setup that has allowed Franken to be victimized by these inane lies. He never got a chance to fight back, so it’s not a surprise that people fell for the scam.

Let’s see Gillibrand campaign for an end to the USO show and address that environment instead of forcing out Senators who were elected all on their own — without her help (she needed the Clintons' to win her seat, hmm... )
