(394 posts)It was a cold and calculated decision. They needed a scapegoat, a sacrificial lamb to show sanctimonious "purity", since they all fully believed that Roy Moore would be the next Alabama senator. To the Gillibrand death squad, it didn't matter if they were burning one of the most effective and talented Senators ever to grace the halls of Congress. If no one had come forward for Chuck Schumer, he'd have also been sacrificed at the altar of Gillibrand's of Zero Tolerance!
Well, don't get me started. I'm on my knees praying that Al Franken will come back. Any Dem that doesn't have the guts to make a public apology to him is dead to me, including my own Senators, Patty Murray and Maria Cantwell. I'll donate to Manchin's and Leahy's campaigns before I will ever give my own Senators another penny. As of this moment, they are an embarrassment to me as an American.
