5. Seems to me that if GOPers like Flake are *really* serious,

they'd tell Trump something like: "Until you stop behaving like a despot we're voting with the Democrats; we won't support any measures you propose, even those we like, until you shape up." I agree 100% with what Flake said in his speech but it's just words and won't change anything until GOPers who deplore Trump's incursions on democracy and the rule of law keep pandering to him with their votes. Flake should ask himself whether that tax cut was a fair trade for all the damage Trump is doing, which Flake acknowledges.
