- thinking the US could give the Arab nations other things that will lead them to abandon role in supporting the Palestinians and that the international community will accept anything the US backs.

There have been some hints as to what this "peace deal" could be. Some of the Israeli media referred to the Trump administration being interested in an idea that Netanyahu floated in 2014 to give the Palestinians land in the Sinai desert in exchange for their land in areas of the West Bank that Israel wants. This was not something that either the Egyptians or the Palestinians agreed with, because they both would be losers, especially the Palestinians. It also makes comments by people like Avigdor Lieberman and Naftali Bennett about annexing areas without the Palestinians make sense.

It is an attempt to overturn the conventional wisdom that Israel can not be Jewish and democratic and keep what they call Judea and Samaria. It would be the Israeli version of the Trail of Tears that would likely NOT lead to peace in the region.
