after redrawing the boundaries after the 2010 redistricting. The area had already moved to purple when Sestak ousted 10-term Congressman Curt Weldon (R). Sestak won 2 terms before resigning to run for U.S. Senate to replace Arlen Specter. His loss unfortunately brought us teabagger Toomey.

Here is how PA-7 looked for each Congressional session at census time during the previous 6 censuses, leading to the 7th and most recent redistricting that manufactured an (R) seat -

PA-7 voted for Hillary by the way.
