Train carrying Republican legislators involved in collision in Crozet
The Daily Progress staff reports 27 min ago
A passenger train carrying Republican legislators was involved in a collision outside of Charlottesville Wednesday morning. .... The crash occurred at 11:20 a.m. in Crozet, according to an Amtrak official. The official also said there are no reported injuries to passengers or crew members.
The train reportedly hit a garbage truck stopped at the Marymart Farm Road crossing in Crozet. The engine came partially off the tracks.
An official from the Federal Railroad Administration said, We are still gathering information and have no additional information to share at this time.

On the way to the hotel that house(d/s) the Congress' nuclear bunker, their train hit a truck. Hmmm.

Agreed. That crossing is at the end of a particularly enjoyable section of road for chasing trains.
