13. My son is a sophomore at Marjory Stoneman Douglas HS.

Thank goodness he was on the other side of the school from the shooting. He spent 2 sleepless nights, because of a rumor that his favorite teacher had been shot. The relief when he saw her on tv Friday morning was palpable. Shot at, but not hit.

I am so proud of our kids. They have been outstanding in their response to this. They have been very outspoken and articulate about what they experienced and what they believe should be done to stop this carnage from reoccurring. They have been blunt, and that has been to their credit. We owe it to them to follow their lead!
