He does not have that option! His state and his district went overwhelmingly for Trump! Matter of fact you can not get any more red than West Virginia is now.

As of now they have ignored he is a Democrat but really pissed them off a lot when he and Toomey sponsored their bipartisan gun control bill after Sandy Hook.

Manchin is on a single thread at the moment and has to be seen speaking up for what his constituents want if not? Then get use to one more Republican in the Senate.

Also this time around unless Manchin is going to retire do not look to him to support any gun control bills unless it is just strengthening the current background check system.

We as Democrats can not attack the legislators of our party in Red Districts!! We can not worry about how they vote many times or what they say because they are numbers to help us flip control. If they do not behave as they do then they are toast and we loose more seats.

I am going out on a limb here by stating I would like to see Manchin run for POTUS!! He would get our votes even if we had to hold our nose but he would play well in Red States and Districts. I think he would have long coattails for the Democratic party!!
