Lead night maintenance.
Company again asked everyone to "submit" improvement suggestions.
Any thing is game, and you have to show some numbers on how your idea would save.

An meeting with plant engineer, maintenance has the best people so we should "win".
All the department was "required" to make a submittal.
SO....
I calculated how much money was spent on plant and 7 acres of warehouse lighting.
Major 10,000's of dollars a year.
CONCLUSION...
Turn out the lights and hire the blind. [also supports ADA requirements]
They were not impressed.
So I said, you save thousands and all we get is a T-Day turkey.
How about 1% to 10% of the savings, proven, of the first year because you still keep saving.
I think you know the ending of this story.
Never again have I offered "free" consulting for anyone I worked for.
