9. EU citizens are covered by GDPR regardless where their data resides

I work for a US company with many EU citizen users, and we are up to our ears in GDPR (EU's data privacy law, taking effect 25 May). All our data processing takes place in the US. And, because of US/EU treaty we are obligated to enact EU data privacy controls regardless. This article is all wet.
