I know and knew a lot of people who live(d) there and have been told that since stuff has to be imported everything costs more. like a jar of peanut butter. I also heard a lot of people have to work several jobs but I guess that is everywhere. I know not to complain when gas has been over $3.50 for a while now since it could be worse.
