In reply to the discussion: Franklin Graham hosting 10 rallies in California urging Christians to vote [View all]Ilsa
(64,416 posts)54. Here is a WaPo quote:
CEOs at the top 50 U.S. charities, including Samaritan's Purse, earn in the $350,000 to $450,000 range, which makes Graham's $622,000 salary from his aid organization alone about 40 percent to 50 percent higher than average, according to a Forbes story. Aug 18, 2015
It makes me sick, thinking how FG is raking it in, jetting around, while people like my husband work long hours, stressed out, relying on years of experience, getting a difficult degree, just hoping to have enough to retire on some day around age 70.
Here is his early bio from Wiki:
William Franklin Graham III was born in Asheville, North Carolina, on July 14, 1952, to evangelist Billy Graham and Ruth Bell. He is the fourth of their five children.[4] As a teenager, Graham attended The Stony Brook School, a Christian private school on Long Island, New York, but was sent home and told not to return after a booze filled night in which his girlfriend, the headmasters daughter committed suicide and finished high school in North Carolina.[5]
In 1970, Graham attended LeTourneau College in Longview, Texas, and was expelled from the school for keeping a female classmate out past curfew.[6] In 1974, he graduated from Montreat-Anderson College, now Montreat College, with an A.S.[7] and in 1978 from Appalachian State University with a B.A.[8][9]
