5. Yes, thankfully the Maine legislature can still work together on some issues

because LePage pretty much vetoes everything. They have actually passed a lot of things over these past eight years in spite of him. Pretty amazing given the national political climate. I think they aren't quite as polarized within this state and maybe that's because it is more local, more like dealing with your neighbors than it is at the federal level.
