And for the comparisons upthread of Israel to Nazi Germany--knock it off. The so-and-so-is-Hitler doesn't cut it. Only Hitler was Hitler.

However...

Comparing Israel to Apartheid South Africa is probably closer to the truth. Taking the native people of a land, Ghetto-izing them, making them slave workers who must carry permits to enter certain places, denying them rights that European types have...sounds like the same thing to me! And before anyone accuses me of Anti-Semitism, know this: my great grandfather was an Orthodox Rabbi, who died in 1953, 5 years after seeing his dream of a Jewish homeland come true. If he could see it now, I bet he'd wish he never worked so hard for it!
