We stand by our morals and values and become uncompromising in that stance. Myself, I tire of the left always coming to the rescue to save the country from right wing lunacy only to save it and then see elected another right wing idiot more loony than the last. The time for the milquetoast progressive/liberal has to end. It's time the word "conservative" becomes a thing of shame as the word "liberal" or "progressive" should never be. We need people with a spine, not people always looking to say to a RWNJ "you've got a point". NO! They have no point.
