I think it's time to observe that Republicans are doing a far better job of destroying their party and killing off their voter base than we ever did. We may not have a choice about whether or not the USA dies along with them.

It might be time to start thinking about what the shape of the USA's successors could be, and how they can prevent the sort of people who destroyed America from returning to government. I recommend a psychological test that automatically excludes Cluster B personalities from any role in government or lobbying.

Donald Trump is a mistake that can never be forgiven, and he's not the one to blame. It's the fools whose actions are propelled by greed, fear and racism. It's time to start asking whether such people, who have no concept or understanding of democratic participation in government, should be allowed any role at all in whatever emerges after they have destroyed America.
