19. Voters punish politicians - not lobbyists.

the NRA has a little over 4 million members. If the public did not support pro-gun politicians or laws then there are not enough NRA members to make a difference.

You ignore the 50 million gun owners who are not NRA members - those are the votes that politicians fear.
