167. Talking point: Only reason for criticizing Bernie is "because he ran against Hillary in the primary"

Anything he has said or done in the last two years did not happen. Like:

"It is not good enough to have a liberal elite. I come from the white working class, and I am deeply humiliated that the Democratic Party cannot talk to where I come from." (The working class voted for the Democrat in the last election, Trump voters were not working class and they did not vote for Trump because of economic insecurity. And calling Democrats "liberal elites" only helps Republicans.)

"The business model, if you will, of the Democratic Party for the last 15 years or so has been a failure."

"The Democratic Party has been dominated by wealthy campaign donors."

"Over the last 30 or 40 years the Democratic Party has transformed itself from the party of the working class ... to a party significantly controlled by a liberal elite which has moved very for away from the needs of ... working families in this country."

"It wasn't that Donald Trump won the election, it was that the Democratic Party lost."

He called Planned Parenthood "establishment," meaning they are corrupted by wealthy corporate donors.

Why is it difficult to understand why people don't like it when Bernie says these things? They are not true and only help Republicans. Why not listen to why people have a problem with what he says?
