I'd like to remind everyone that the term "date rape" wasn't really out there yet and, at the time, if a female was drunk and a guy fucked her, it wasn't considered rape unless she was UNCONSCIOUS. Even then, good luck finding a DA who would prosecute. The laws have changed regarding intoxication and consent, but many people's attitudes have not. Just look at this lovely scene from Sixteen Candles (1984). We thought this was FUNNY.



Ted ends up having sex with drunk Caroline, off camera, but no worries. She thinks she enjoyed it.
