to show that he is one of the "good old boys".
But I wouldn't be surprised if he was an alcoholic. He was also an "only child" so I think this also factored in on some of his behavior (which he also whined about, but that also does often come with its own issues).

I haven't seen anything that suggests McConnell has the votes to confirm Kavanaugh.
