I live in the Chicago media market, and the stories behind all of this killing is sickening. A mother sitting in her car beset by a trio of shooters, a little girl in a public park killed as a car drives through spraying fire, a father sitting on his front porch blown away by a teenage shooter.

Random killing by random shooters. Go to Youtube, search Chicago Worst Neighborhoods, and you can see an endless stream of videos featuring young people pulling up their guns and threatening violence.

I don't know if "stop and frisk" is helpful. I know jack shit about law enforcement. But I do know when something is out of control and needs to be stopped.
