No one doubts that you are qualified. Or that you would make an excellent president. Or disputes that you would right the course of this country back to the proper path. You would restore civility, dignity, respect, intelligence, honesty back to our nation. The rest of the world would realize that we had come to our senses, and our allies would trust us again.

But do you really want to get pulled down in the gutter again ? It will be worse this time around. The cesspool that politics has become is ugly business. You thought last time around was bad ?

You won't remember me, but when you first discussed running for president, I wrote you an impassioned letter begging you to reconsider. I feared for you, your sanity, your better well-being. I foresaw all of the vile, vulgar, vindictive, venomous, vengeful nastiness that you eventually went through.

My heart broke when you were robbed of the victory that was yours - by over 3 million votes.

Please don't put either one of us through that again.
