The one that nobody seems willing to broach, is the 'cool factor'. There was a time when US goods were in huge demand. A pair of Raybans or Levi's were better than cash in some parts of the world. - America was actually seen as that 'shining city'.

No longer. Decades of illegal foreign wars, bullying and harmful foreign policies turned much of that good will into contempt and loathing.

More recent years have seen the US regarded as a land of excess and stupidity. Crazed evangelical gun nuts, and a country stupid enough to have elected Donald Trump.

You think Trump has been bad for American products. Just wait until the numbers come in for what he has done to tourism.
