6. Must be cold. Thanks to the brave souls who are keeping social consciousness alive in Zucotti Park.

I just watched more of the PBS series on the American Revolution this evening. What a rag-tag bunch of men George Washington formed into an army. Fortunately, Washington's army did the really rough work in forming our nation.

It would be so wrong for us to allow our country to become just another right-wing, inhumane, fascist state. Washington was so careful to avoid establishing a monarchy. We can't let that heritage of respect for the common person -- the rag-tag among us -- be forgotten.

OWS keeps the spirit of the American Revolution -- of George Washington and Thomas Jefferson and Thomas Paine -- alive.
