In reply to the discussion: Trump threatens to block networks from hosting debates after Dems reject Fox [View all]RockRaven
(19,626 posts)29. He presumes the D nominee is even interested in debating him.
I say let him have this melt-down, poke at him to make it worsen and persist, and then cite his statements as the reason for not having a debate. If you can make sure the blame sticks to him, it might be worth it to let him have his pouting, one-person boycott.
Why would anyone want to appear on the same stage as this pervert? As HRC found out, no matter how much you out-class him in the debate, the very fact of appearing alongside him normalizes and legitimizes him by putting him next to a rational, respectable person in a situation of alleged equality, and gives lazy pundits opportunities to raise false equivalencies and enough fodder to wax lyrically about how presidential he appeared. Screw it.

So that 43% of republicans would approve a democrat shutting down Fox news?

That would be a really dumb thing to do, considering they all helped him win in 2016.
