we were always wearing extensive protective gear when engaging in such drills and still had participants that were occasionally inured by projectiles. Performing these drills without briefing the participants about the scenario and failing to provide them with protective attire is both extremely negligent and malicious. Unfortunately this type of deplorable behavior by law enforcement, especially local, seems to be becoming more of the norm rather than the exception.
