Speaking with reporters outside the White House on the way to his reelection campaign rally in Michigan, Trump vowed that he would reverse course and fund the Special Olympics.

“I have overridden my people,” Trump said.

Earlier on Thursday, Education Secretary Betsy DeVos said it was Trump who wanted the cuts.
