And please DO NOT start with the "You people don't understand how Trump *really* came to power..." bullshit because it insults my intelligence. The average Trump-voting yokel couldn't tell you the true role of the United Nations even with a gun to his head.

The fact of the matter if Britions hated the EU that much they would have left three years ago with no deal, but they want/need all the economic benefits of the common market but don't want the immigration/freedom of movement. Farage and Johnson promised everyone they could divorce their collective wife (EU) and leave her to worry about the kids (migrants), but they'd still get the sex (economic trade) whenever they wanted it...

All that other stuff about rule of law is mostly window dressing and when you dig deeper into that argument you'll see it always comes back to immigration sooner or later.
