It certainly looks the prelude to Hitler and Mussolini. And yes, all we could do are call our Congressmen or Congresswomen and Senators to share our voice to the many complaints they are now hearing and reading.

I haven't seen any action coming from the Congress except the one below (sigh... committee hearings) from House Oversight Committee Chairman Elijah Cummings:
