(14,765 posts)34. Trump has, at his disposal, 123 laws granting him "emergency powers".
You can bet he has his legal lackeys exploring how to use them.
As outlined in this terrifying article from The Atlantic, these laws were written with the assumption that the President of the United States will act in the best interest of the nation.
We know that is not the Trump default.

Congress urgently needs to act to rein in these emergency powers before Trump uses them to curtail our civil rights and fulfill his dream of being "The Chosen" dictator.
