A former Florida Power & Light Co. St. Lucie nuclear plant employee has filed a whistleblower lawsuit against the company alleging retaliation against him following a Nov. 21, 2009 incident at the plant.
Mark W. Hicks, 53, of Port St. Lucie, alleges in the complaint that he was terminated from his job as operations manager for refusing to start up the plants Unit 2 nuclear reactor after recognizing it had a leaky valve.
