2. Danger

It’s a dangerous profession, and “a calling” to be a cop (like teacher, doctor, preacher)

Good ones carry a gun, and run toward danger even when off-duty.

They are the heroes, not the shoot-first, ask questions later cowboys.

This reminds me of the bravery of those fighting hand-to-hand, those who protect and serve. I couldn’t do it.
They deserve respect, while other ‘roid-raged boys showing off their military surplus tanks and bombs will never get it.
