A few years ago the Pentagon said that climate change was the biggest threat to national security, and Trump does everything in his power to ensure greater consumption of such fuels, even suing the state of California over their strict emissions standards. So the question is, is Trump pulling out of the Paris agreement and setting policy simply to enrich himself? His love of fossil fuels makes me think so. Otherwise, it seems irrational to me.
