4. There are problems with a "point of no returns".

First, it has to be describable and measurable so that we can clearly see that we are approaching it.

Second, if we pass that point, then the deniers will claim that, once past it, there's no point in spending on corrections because we're past the point where they can help.

Of course, it' possible we're already past the point of no return. It's been nice knowing you, appalachiablue.
