it isn't easy to hit one, much less sink one with conventional weapons, they are heavily defended and have back up systems for the back up systems.

People seem to believe that taking out a Carrier is easy peasy, I can say with confidence that it ain't an easy task, a Carrier can take multiple hits and still be operational and the crews are well trained to quickly repair damage and get it back in the fight.

Don't underestimate the survivability of our Carriers.

And as far as one missile taking down a Carrier, unless it's a nuke, it will take several missile strikes to put one out of action.
