Why smuggle something you can make yourself? It's a shame it takes about 5 gal of milk to make a pound of cheese. Fortunately I can get it fresh from the farm and pay about 30% more than they would get from the processor, which is about half what I would pay at the store. I think I figured it at about $3.60/lb a few years ago.
I don't think I could live without cheese, and bread, and bacon, or the occasional steak, corn on the cob, or fresh homegrown tomatoes.
