(70 posts)However, I find it curious that the massive money-motivated owners and administrators are more cautious and willing to take the financial hit of suspending or cancelling many more months than common industries.
Do they care about the health of their fans packed into stadiums? Seems so.
Clearly they want their investments in athletes protected. Part of that is strong union representation if the players felt the risk was too great.
They are doing this for what appear to be the right reasons and they are much further away from resuming seasons than ordinary stay-at-home orders and CDC milestones. What does MLB know that might be inconvenient to others?
McConnell and 45 want the victory of normalcy. They can't intervene and its killing them.
Anyway, I mourn baseball. It's the one thing I wish I had to help get through. Way more than any backward idiot who can't ride a jetski in April or get a tattoo. But, I trust that baseball is doing the right thing. You won't see me storming my capitol for it.
