(6,309 posts)..... and are loud and outspoken at them, but failed to show up to the polls has a simple scientific answer. Rallies are exciting and loud, while actually going to the polls is an exercise in boredom. It's a shame that a lot of people won't pay attention to science when it comes to certain subjects. Nothing against young people since I was once one myself, and thinking back, I absolutely agree with the findings. It's just fact.

In fact, recent research has found that adult and teen brains work differently. Adults think with the prefrontal cortex, the brains rational part. This is the part of the brain that responds to situations with good judgment and an awareness of long-term consequences. Teens process information with the amygdala. This is the emotional part.
