I took a look at homes in 'The Villages'. I was not impressed with the people there, and I'm of a firm belief that you should be exposed to all ages of people in all stages of your life. I could tell right away that there were a plethora of right-wing assholes living there, so I didn't consider that place any further. There are too many places like that in Florida, "55 and over" only. 
Screw that. I moved to a neighborhood with all ages of people, but after awhile the culture shock (not to mention the heat) were too much for this New York boy to bear. Back to New York, and I haven't regretted it since.
